Standard Working Procedures

At M&P Brickwork Ltd, we are committed to delivering high-quality bricklaying services while maintaining the highest standards of safety, organisation and professionalism on every site we work on.

  • Safety of our team and everyone on site is our top priority. All operatives are required to wear appropriate PPE at all times. This includes safety boots, hard hats, high-visibility clothing, gloves and eye protection, when necessary, with additional items worn where site conditions require them. Supervisors regularly monitor this to ensure that safety standards are maintained at every stage of the project.

  • We maintain a tidy and organised environment, which we believe is essential for safety and efficiency.

    • Materials are stored neatly in designated areas.

    • Scaffolds, work fronts and access routes are kept free of debris.

    • Mortar is applied only to designated mortar boards to prevent spills and reduce waste.

    • Tools and equipment are stored safely when not in use.

    • Daily tidy-ups are carried out to maintain a well-organised working environment.

    • Bricks are stacked neatly and covered with a protective sheet when not in use.

  • We use clear reminder signage to help maintain good quality and a safe site. If signage is damaged or missing, our supervisors ensure replacements are installed immediately to keep the site compliant and safe.

  • To ensure our work consistently meets the required standards:

    • Monthly quality inspections are carried out by Site Managers or higher-qualified visitors.

    • Fortnightly toolbox talks and site inspections reports are completed and emailed out to all.

By following these procedures, M&P Brickwork Ltd ensures the projects we work on are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality. These standards underpin our daily operations and demonstrate our commitment to quality bricklaying on all sites.
